Text On Shapes 1/6/11

The pen, shape and line to can be really useful for our upcoming projects because we have more ways to express our creativity. another reason this lesson can help us with our project is, its better having other shapes with text designs rather then having just plain boxes and circle objects. The pen can be used as a "underline" to emphasize text or my title.

Me As A Consumer

What make me wants to buy products is mostly the prices. If i see something i want and its cheap i automatically buy it whether i need it or just want it. There's many stores out there that usually have sales all the time which attracts "shop-o-holics" for example Macys, Jc penny, Sears and etc... another thing that makes me buy products is the weather. If it starts getting cold the price of sweaters and hoodies jackets gloves and hats and stuff like that. but i usually shop ahead meaning, if its summer ill buy winter stuff because it gets cheaper and when its winter i will buy winter stuff as well.

Journal 3

Amimur Akif

1. How did you come up with the idea for your logo?

Well for this logo everything just really came to me. I thought of everything in my head and got a couple of ideas from other examples. It was obvious to do a nba logo just because im such a big nba fan and I love the all star week. Starting with the glows the shapes and the form of the logo was all layed out in my head. So I didn’t really have a difficult time doing that.

2. Based on your understanding of design principles, please talk about which ones were most evident in your logo

Well to start off with the Star shape went perfect with the logo since the topic was all STAR week. And the jump man shape went pretty smooth for the A in All for all star. The colors I choose were pretty relevant since the nba colors are red white and blue aswell.

3. Based on your understanding of vector and bitmap images, how did these choices influence your design?

Im not sure what you mean

4. What changes did you make at (or before) the redesign step?

Well the first change I made was adding the jump man because it’s a big attraction on th projects. And then I added the hoop because it relates to basket ball then I put the basketball inside the start I adjusted the positions of the shapes and words. And to finish it off adjusted the colors and shades.

Do Now 10/25/10 Vector Images

1.What is a bitmap image?

A bitmap image is a image developed from different colored pixels that form a image.

1. What does “resolution-dependant” mean?

Resolution dependent means, depending on the size and quality of the image is how the image is gonna look

1. How does a vector image work?

The way vector images work is, they use equations to calculate the lines and shapes. the equations form the dimensions, color, shape and thickness

1. When would you notice a difference between the two?

Bitmap images are made of single pixels and are scaled unproportionally and vector images are well proportioned and scaled evenly.

What was the initial goals for the logo?

The initial goal for the logo was to imply that it was the world cup finals, and the two teams that were going against each other was England & Spain

Does the logo you have match the initial goals? Why or why not?

Yes it does because the background is a soccer field and both flags are on the logo so is clear what the logo was trying to imply

In this lab we were given 3 pictures and we had to pick 1 of the 3 pictures (our choice)
and our objective was to understand how to use the different options of color management to make your image look better and different options of printing to make your image look better once its printed
